The Secretariat is headed by the Chief Executive of the Academy. It includes the Legal Industry Cluster, the Legal Knowledge Cluster, the Legal Technology Cluster and the Corporate Services Cluster. The Legal Industry Cluster is divided into the following functions: Strategic Direction; Professional Affairs; Membership Affairs; International Promotion of Singapore Law; Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Singapore Mediation Centre; and Appointments and Awards. The Legal Knowledge Cluster has the following functions: Academy Publishing; Law Reporting; Continuing Legal Education and Studies; Law Reform; and Legal Heritage. The Legal Technology Cluster developed and manages LawNet and the Electronic Litigation Systems. The Secretariat also runs the Academy Bistro.
