In 2012, we setup the Singapore Academy of Law Innovations and Ideas Scheme (SALIIS) to encourage the development and implementation of new schemes/ideas beneficial to the legal industry and/or the wider community. SAL has set aside seed funding to develop these ideas with the objective that they can eventually grow into full-fledged services or products.
Since its establishment, the Committee for Innovations and Ideas (CII) has received 10 project applications and successfully awarded funds to develop two projects. They are namely LegalHelp and the Singapore Law Blog.
The CII welcomes proposals for non-commercial oriented projects with a public good element to be submitted to SAL in the middle of the calendar year annually. General application guidelines and requirements can be accessed here.
