The Academy's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) directorate is tasked with promoting Singapore as the venue of choice for ADR. The ADR Directorate works closely with the International Promotion of Singapore Directorate to disseminate information on why Singapore is a natural choice for ADR. The Academy carries out its promotional work through a website, publications and through seminars and conferences. It actively engages various agencies, both public and private, in its endeavours.
 
The Academy also facilitates the development and growth of ADR in Singapore by ensuring that Singapore has the necessary infrastructure and support services to maintain its position as a premier venue for ADR.

The Academy serves as a reference point for any party who wishes to consider dispute resolution in Singapore. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, the Singapore Mediation Centre, the Academy also provides ADR services (such as mediation and adjudication) and ADR training (for instance, in negotiation, mediation and conflict management).

Singapore is now recognised as the leading choice for dispute resolution in Asia. Singapore possesses a sterling reputation for impartiality and integrity, world-class ADR institutions, outstanding dispute resolution professionals (neutrals, counsel and experts) and a legal system which is supportive of ADR. Singapore is a party to the New York convention and hence, Singapore arbitral awards are enforceable in most countries.
