Conflict resolution training is provided by the Academy's wholly-owned subsidiary, the Singapore Mediation Centre (“SMC”). SMC has established itself as a pioneer training centre in the field of negotiation, mediation and conflict management. The reputation of SMC as a premier training institution has generated training work overseas in countries such as Austria, Cambodia, Dubai, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, the Philippines and Thailand. SMC instructors use proven methods to teach practical strategies and skills for conflict management to adult learners. Workshop facilitators are trained to create a highly energised environment that motivates experiential learning.

SMC believes that conflict resolution skills are useful to anybody who needs to deal with people, whether it be in the professional or personal sphere. As such SMC frequently runs workshops which are open to the public. SMC can also tailor workshops to suit the specific needs of organisations, whether in Singapore or otherwise.
