Published twice a year since 1989, the Singapore Academy of Law Journal contains articles relating to Singapore law as well as Asia-Pacific and common law legal systems, and comparative and international law. Articles are anonymously reviewed by a panel of local and international legal scholars and practitioners. Contributors include Singaporean and foreign judges, lawyers, legal officers and academics.

Specially commissioned Issues of SAcLJ on a core area of law are also published regularly. Special Issues on Contract Law (Guest Editor: Professor Michael Furmston), Shipping Law (Guest Editor: Professor Francis Reynolds), Insolvency Law (Guest Editor: Professor Gerard McCormack), Land Law (Guest Editor: Professor Kevin Gray) and Biomedical Law and Ethics (Guest Editor: Professor Bartha Maria Knoppers; Assistant Guest Editor: W Calvin Ho) have been published with articles contributed by foreign and local leading names in the area of law.
