This series of small law firm topics will give participants new insights from the different Divisions of the State Courts on relevant and timely legal topics. In the first session, the topic will focus on how to prepare for tribunal hearings and appeals, with highlights of the newly established Employment Claims Tribunal. The second session will discuss how Judge Mediators and Mediation Advocates can play a constructive role at different stages of mediation in order to effectively reach a mediated settlement between parties. The third session will highlight both sentencing considerations governing community based sentences and services offered by the Community Court Secretariat. Lastly, the fourth session will highlight the importance of knowing how to effectively conduct case management conferences in modern civil processes.
