Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Delivery of Legal Technology Vision (LTV) Programme

  • Formulate implementation plans and funding needs for successful delivery of the objectives as stated in LTV
  • Establish delivery milestones and KPIs to benchmark the progress and success of LTV programme
  • Seek endorsement from internal and external stakeholders to ensure viability of the implementation plan
  • Seek out and forge legal technology partnerships to create an ecosystem to serve the sector
  • Track funding status against LTV milestones and KPIs
  • Upward progress reporting
  • Continuous sectorial and stakeholder engagements to identify obstacles that are detrimental to LTV for mitigation and escalation


2. Product Management of Legal Technology Services

  • Manage the lifecycle of existing and LTV initiated Legal Tech Services
  • Engage with users and customers to understand their needs, validate solutions and scope out features for Legal Tech Services
  • Collaborate with technical and operation teams in the technology selection, development, enhancement and retirement of Legal Tech Services
  • Constantly monitor and conduct focus group studies to evaluate services differentiation, positioning and mindshare against competition
  • Strategize sectorial engagement and service promotional activities


3. Team Management

  • Manage direct reports and virtual teams effectively to achieve desired outcome
  • Provide leadership and communicate clearly to resolve resource, schedule and requirement conflicts
  • Provide motivation, guidance and coaching to junior members of the team
  • Keep morale high and sustain a creative and high-performance team


Job Specifications:

  • A good degree in Law, preferably with at least 3 years’ PQE (in law firm practice or legal service)
  • Deep appreciation of IT, experience in technology implementation would be advantageous
  • Sociable and comfortable in engaging stakeholders, legal practitioners and technology professionals
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are essential
  • Strong leadership quality to create trust and sustain a creative, high-performance team
  • Able to perform as an individual, as well as contribute and work collaboratively with internal and external partners
