Job Description:

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Maintain data accuracy and completeness of membership centralised database and familiar with Personal Data Protection Act
  • Process/update Honorary/Fellow Members information in database
  • Ensure those called to Bar or appointed as Singapore Legal Service Officers are registered with SAL
  • Process/update re-instatement, disqualification, suspended, closing of membership accounts       
  • Process membership waiver applications submitted online or via hardcopy, update database and prepare for Deputy Director’s or Membership Sub-Committee’s review/approval
  • Assist in streamline membership works & processes
  • Process new membership applications and obtain information/supporting document to create /update database accurately and promptly
  • Review works performed by temporary staff
  • Handle non-standard membership enquiries, escalated by junior officer/temporary staff
  • Prepare/extract/analyse membership information for reports
  • Assist in reporting of membership fee collection
  • Prepare non-standard letters or correspondences to members
  • Pre-mass billing preparation, including ensuring membership records are up-to-date, follow up & update fellow lists and track waiver lists
  • Maintaining membership pages, forms, terms & conditions on SAL Corporate website & IntraNet
  • Assist in liaising with Supreme Court, Law Society, NUS or other organisations on membership matters e.g. membership registration, eLit system.
  • Work with Finance team to validate information like members on outstanding fees, those granted waivers, etc
  • Support digitalisation efforts and/or cross-function project like NES system enhancement & conduct UAT after drawing up UAT Test samples
  • Assist in Mass Call preparations
  • Diploma or Degree  holder and/or those with minimum 3 years relevant work experience will also be considered
  • Must be proficient in MS Word & Powerpoint
  • Must have advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Meticulous and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to multi-task and work within timelines
  • Able to provide good customer service including dealing with difficult customers
