LIFTED-LIT Legal Tech Mentors

Legal Tech Mentors is a programme under the Singapore Academy of Law’s (“SAL”) LIFTED initiative and is a collaboration with the Legal Innovation and Technology (“LIT”) student group of the Singapore Management University School of Law. It is supported by the SAL’s Legal Technology Vision. This collaborative initiative is a community-driven programme that seeks to organise sharing sessions on the practical applications and usage of legal technology. Legal Tech Mentors will offer the community educational resources, anecdotes, case studies, and user stories through its volunteer corps.

If you are a law firm interested in having one of our Tech Mentors swing by your office to have a chat about the legal technology landscape and the available tools and initiatives which exist to help you with your digital transformation, please write in to [email protected].

The LIFTED Catalyst-in-Residence initiative connects international thought leaders with the Singapore legal community. The objective is  to engage in thoughtful and rigorous dialogue that produces meaningful action to improve legal services delivery and professional education and training.

Mark A. Cohen

Mark A. Cohen is the inaugural LIFTED Catalyst-in-Residence @ Singapore Academy of Law. Mark is currently CEO of Legal Mosaic. He is also a Distinguished Fellow at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

As a long-time advocate for and participant in re-inventing legal services to better meet the needs of corporate and individual clients, Mark advises and speaks on issues of legal practice and delivery in a rapidly changing global legal services market. Mark writes prolifically on issues of legal technology, practice innovation, the business of law, and legal education and training. He is a regular contributor to Forbes. His LegalMosaic blog was recently recognized by the American Bar Association as one of the 50 outstanding worldwide legal blogs in their inaugural “Web 100.”

Mark sums up his work as his "attempt to demystify and piece together the seemingly disparate elements of the legal ecosystem, shedding light on how they might fit together to benefit legal consumers, providers, and educators. It is, after all, a legal mosaic.”
