[Webinar] Corporate Law Day 2021

7 July 2021, 9.15am-4.00pm

As corporate lawyers, equipping ourselves better and exploring new vistas should be our mantra to live and work in these volatile times. It is in this spirit that The Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law are jointly organising the inaugural Corporate Law Day on 7 July 2021.

The global economy continues to grapple with the fall-out of the pandemic whilst business owners, corporate executives and professionals are still finding their feet in a socially distanced world where technology has truly become irreplaceable in facilitating human-to-human interaction.

The headlines that grab the attention of corporate lawyers are by no means restricted to COVID-19. There is an increasing demand for, and awareness by, government and business leaders to address issues relating to climate change, environmental protection and social inclusion and equality, and put “ESG” at the top of the agenda.

How technology might transform legal practice and how relevant is ESG to corporate lawyers – these are the two themes for Corporate Law Day 2021. Graced by The Honourable Judge of Appeal Steven Chong and with a keynote address from Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law, Mr Edwin Tong, SC, let’s hear from our distinguished guests and Corporate bar colleagues on Corporate Law Day 2021, an event you do not want to miss!
