Pierre-Emmanuel Audit
Associate Professor of Law, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas

Pierre-Emmanuel Audit is an Associate Professor in Private Law at the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas where he heads the Data Protection Officer Diploma, the International Business Law LL.M. on the Singapore campus of the University as well as the campus itself; he also co-heads the Digital Law & Technology Diploma as well as the Insurance Contract Management professional licence. A graduate in Private Law, he pursued an LL.M. in Harvard Law School and earned his PhD from the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas in 2013. He teaches Data Protection Law, Contract & Tort Law, Maritime and Transportation Law, as well as Introduction to Law and Personal Law classes on various campuses of the University (Paris, Dubai, Mauritius). His research interests include privacy law as well as behavioural analysis of the Law. He is also a founding member of Assas Lab, the University incubator.

Louis Suire


Louis Suire
Policy Officer (Asset Management), European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)

Louis Suire is a lawyer specialising in French, European and international banking and finance regulation. He was previously a lawyer with Gide Loyrette Nouel, a major law firm in France, and a Legal Officer with Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) – France, the French financial markets authority. In 2019, he joined the European Securities and Markets Authority as a Policy Officer in the Investment Management Unit, focusing on the regulation of the investment funds industry.

In parallel, Louis teaches French civil and business law and conducting doctoral research on the creation of the banking and financial regulation at the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas.

Prof Chacornac


Jérôme Chacornac 
Associate Professor of Law, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas

Jérôme Chacornac is Associate Professor, specialised in Private Law. He teaches Financial Law, Company Law, International Trade Law, International Commercial Arbitration, Transport Law and Maritime Law. His research includes Business Law, International Trade Law, Law of Obligations, General Theory and Sociology of Law, and Comparative Law.

Jerôme Chacornac holds a PhD in Law, a DEA in Comparative Law, and a Laurea in scienze giuridiche from the Università degli Studi di Firenze.

He is also Director of DU (University Degree) in Contract Management, and a Member of the Board of Administration of the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas.

Since 2019, he has been in charge of the International Banking and Financial Regulation panorama, in the landmark law review Banque & Droit.

Laurence Idot


Laurence Idot
Professor of Law, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas

Agrégée des Facultés de Droit (1982) teaches EC and Competition Law for post-graduate students at University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1993-2007) and Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas (since 2007). Her other fields of interest include arbitration law and private international law, and their interaction with competition law.

She is also co-director of the monthly review Europe (1991), director of the scientific committee of the review Concurrences (2004), and a member of advisory boards of several reviews, including the Common Market Law Review. She has an active role in many academic associations and is the President of the French Association on Competition Law (AFEC) as well as one of the French NGAs for the ICN. These last five years, she has devoted many articles as well as a book (Bruylant, 2004) to European competition reform. Mrs. Idot has also experience as a practitioner, a consultant, and an arbitrator.

She has been appointed as a member of the "Authority of Concurrency" since early 2009.

JC Galloux


Jean-Christophe Galloux
Professor of Law, Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas

Professor Jean-Christophe Galloux (Dr. iur., LLM EUI Florence) teaches intellectual property law, competition and contract laws in connection with IP at the Law faculty of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas and at the International Centre for Intellectual Property (CEIPI Strasbourg). He also heads the Intellectual Property Research Institute (IRPI) of Paris (Paris Chamber of Commerce).

He has been visiting professor in these matters at numerous universities: Montréal (Canada), Casablanca (Morocco), Bahrein, Budapest (ELTE), München (LMU and Max-Planck Institute), Tokyo (Toddaï) and Moscow (MGU), Saint Petersburg, OAPI (Yaoundé), etc. He is the author of more than 220 publications in intellectual property law, competition law, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology law.

He recently published several books in particular with Pr. Jacques Azema Droit de la propriété industrielle (Collection “Précis”, Dalloz, 1 100 pages, 7th ed. 2012), which is the leading academic book in this field. He has been an adviser to the European Commission, UNESCO and OECD for IP matters, a member of the European Ethic Committee for the European Federation of Biotech Industries (EUROPABIO) in Brussels (1999-2003) and of several academic boards, including Max Planck’s MIPLC (Munich). He has practised in intellectual property law as a member of Paris bar since 1984, and is a mediator and an arbitrator.

Prof. Dr. Galloux was elected in 2013 as a member of the National Academy of Pharmacy.
