[Webinar] LIFTED Q&A: Insights into the Legal Function as the Driver of Corporate Crisis Response

11 June 2020, 5.00pm-6.10pm

The COVID19 Pandemic has thrown into sharp relief the readiness of business and governments to deal effectively with crisis on a global scale. In many corporates, the legal function has been thrust into the driver’s seat of steering the business through the myriad of uncertainties that impact the health of the business. Yet, many in-house counsel may have never received formal preparation to develop, implement and monitor effective crisis management plans. Relatedly, external law firms may also be at a loss as to how they can support their corporate clients execute on corporate crisis management plans. With COVID19 as the backdrop, this session seeks to provide a practical outline of how the legal function, comprising in-house and law firm teams, can effectively drive crisis response beyond simply reacting to the circumstances immediately before them. The three panellists, in this third of a five-part webinar series under the LIFTED Q&A initiative, will highlight questions and answers submitted on the @LIFTEDbySAL Linkedin channel. Participants are encouraged to submit their questions through the channel at https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/liftedbysal/.
