Lye Lin Heng taught Property Law, Environmental Law and Comparative Environmental Law for many years at the Law Faculty, National University of Singapore. She was Director of its Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL) 2013–2017, and chaired the NUS multi-disciplinary MSc (Env Mgt) (MEM) programme’s Management Committee from its inception in 2001, to 2018. She was also Associate Professor at Yale University’s School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, teaching a course on Comparative Environmental Law from 2003 to 2019. She retired in July 2019 and is now Adjunct Professor teaching Environmental Law to the MEM and Law students. She has written numerous monographs and articles on Singapore’s environmental law.
Dr Joseph Chun is a partner in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practice at Shook Lin & Bok LLP, where he specialises in environmental law. He is concurrently an adjunct associate professor and a member of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL) at the Faculty of Law in the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he teaches environmental law. He also regularly works with green civil society groups on the legal aspects of advocacy projects, and serves on the Animal Welfare and Ethics Committee of Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
