Members of the public who may not have visited the Old Supreme Court can now do the next best thing. The Old Supreme Court app, launched on 11 August 2015, takes users on an interactive virtual tour of the court in a first person perspective. Designed on an online gaming platform, the intuitive and easy-to-use app is primarily targeted at young Singaporeans who are familiar with mobile games.
The user enters the court house and is invited to make stops at various locations within the court, including the basement holding cells, the jury box, the CJ's court and the foundation stone. Photos and audio recordings from David Marshall and former Chief Justice Wee Chong Jin are dotted throughout the tour, providing interesting anecdotes on Singapore's legal history.
The app is available free for iOS or Android mobile devices. Alternatively, view our browser version (best viewed with Google Chrome web browser).
