FANDI AHMAD JOINS THE CJ’S CUP 2024

x

The CJ’s Cup is traditionally the arena of lawyers and legal professionals, but this year’s opening match will feature a local football legend: Fandi Ahmad will take to the pitch with the Law Society Women’s Team. Will they defeat the all-star SAL team helmed by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Mr Edwin Tong SC?

We’re sure it’ll be a nailbiter to the finish and we invite all SAL members and their families to join in the fun. The match kicks off at 9.30am at KickOff (60 Hougang St 21, Singapore 538738). They can also sign their young ones up for a complimentary futsal clinic, to be held on the sidelines of the tournament.

From its inception in 2015, the tournament has raised funds exclusively for the Yellow Ribbon Fund - SAL STAR (Skills Training Assistance to Restart) Bursary. Firms contribute to the Fund when they register a team. Thousands of SAL members also chip in with individual donations, with a record sum of more than $165,000 raised last year.

Starting this year, SAL will also count the Singapore After-Care Association's Volunteer After-Care Programme as a beneficiary. This effort supports an important element of the after-care landscape, encouraging community involvement in helping desistors return to society as accepted members.

We invite you to join us at the CJ's Cup 2024, held from 9.30am to 2pm on 27 April at Kick Off! (60 Hougang St 21, Singapore 538738). Limited slots are also available for a free hourlong football clinic for kids of SAL members. Write to [email protected] to indicate your interest in both.

You can also donate as an individual/organisation to support both causes:
